International Youth Summit is the only youth platform that totally devoted for the skills development of the youth. Focusing the SDG, IYS has selected 9 (nine) broad areas of skills that should be developed by all the registered officials and members of the IYS Country Chapter. They are,

ACADEMIC & CAREER GUIDANCE (ACG)
Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty. Academic and career guidance content is designed to guide and equip members in their reflection on academic and career planning as they prepare for their future. This month all IYS members will focus on their academic or career skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. The following area will be covered, but not limited to:
Area 1: Self-knowledge - Members learn about themselves and determine their personal academic & career characteristics: Interests, aptitudes, values, aspirations and strengths Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to a sense of personal competency.
Area 2: Knowledge of the academic skills - Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their educational path: transitions (from secondary to higher secondary to university to post-university studies) improving academic skills for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the workplace skills Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements of the labor market: Making connections between the academic skills, themselves and professional skills Exploration of trades, occupations and professions.

HEALTH & WELLBEING DEVELOPMENT (HWD)
Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. Feelings of wellbeing are fundamental to the overall health of an individual, enabling them to successfully overcome difficulties and achieve what they want out of life. Past experiences, attitudes and outlooks can impact wellbeing as can physical or emotional trauma following specific incidents. This month all IYS members will focus on their health & wellbeing skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. The following area will be covered, but not limited to: Area 1: Self-awareness -  Members learn about themselves and determine their personal health & wellbeing characteristics: Healthy health and mind, challenges, mindset change Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to have a healthy lifestyle.
Area 2: Knowledge of the health and wellbeing skills - Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their health and wellbeing path: transitions (relationships with family members, relationships with friends and love ones, relationships with relatives and others, and other external relations) improving health and wellbeing skills for better performance.
Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the H&W skills - Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain good health and wellbeing: Making connections between the H&W skills, themselves and professional skills Exploration of options to maintain the H&W effectively

LEADERSHIP & COMMUNITY SERVICES (LCS)
Leadership is a vital management skill that helps to one to improve efficiency and push them towards the achievement of goals. Effective leaders provide clarity of purpose, motivate and guide you to realize your mission and vision of life. Community services can provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. This month all IYS members will focus on the leadership & community service skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited:
Area 1: Self-confidence - Members learn about themselves and determine their personal leadership characteristics: • Personality types, leadership style, mindset development • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive leadership skill.  Area 2: Knowledge of the leadership skill & community services - Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their leadership development path: • transitions (follower to leader) • improving leadership skills for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the leadership skill for personal development and community servicers Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive leadership and contribute to the community: • Making connections between the leadership skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the leadership skills effectively for the sustainable community development

TEAM MANAGEMENT & NETWORKING (TMN)
Team management is the ability of an individual or an organization to administer and coordinate a group of individuals to perform a task. Team management involves teamwork, communication, objective setting and performance appraisals. Networking within the teams and outside is an organizational model in which members and teams build bonds and empower them to work on specific goals and challenges. This month all IYS members will focus on the team management & networking skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-analysis Members learn about themselves and determine their personal team management characteristics: • Teamwork, communication style, contribution to the team development, team building and rebuilding • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive teamwork & networking skill Area 2: Knowledge of the teamwork & networking skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their teamwork & networking development path: • transitions (working along to working in a group) • improving networking skills for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the teamwork & networking skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive team and contribute to the community to achieve goals: • Making connections between the teamwork & networking skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the teamwork & networking skills effectively for the sustainable youth development

COMMUNICATION & PUBLIC RELATION (CPR)
Good communication skills are essential to allow others and yourself to understand information more accurately and quickly. In contrast, poor communication leads to frequent misunderstanding and frustration. Public relations are the strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. Public relation is the practice of managing and distribution of information between an organization and the targeted groups who need to know the information and get benefited. This month all IYS members will focus on the communication & public relation skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-reflection Members learn about themselves and determine their personal communication & public relation characteristics: • Effective communication, communication barriers • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive communication & public relation skill Area 2: Knowledge of the communication & public relation skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their communication & public relation development path: • transitions (communication in a group to community) • improving communication & public relation skills for better performance and creating positive image Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the communication & public relation skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive communication and build relationship with the community: • Making connections between the communication & public relation skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the communication & public relation skills effectively for the sustainable youth development

PERSONAL GROWTH & PRODUCTIVITY (PGP)
Personal growth is a process of both understanding yourself and pushing yourself to reach your highest potential. It means always asking yourself who you are becoming and how you plan to get there. Personal productivity has a direct impact on the quantity and quality of the results that we produce. If we have high productivity, you can complete your targeted to-do list and you can spend more time on personal things and with family. This month all IYS members will focus on the personal growth & productivity skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-worth Members learn about themselves and determine their personal growth and productivity characteristics: • Personal growth areas, productivity analysis • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive personal growth & productivity skill Area 2: Knowledge of the personal growth & productivity skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their personal growth & productivity development path: • transitions (fixed mindset to growth mindset) • improving productivity skills for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the personal growth & productivity skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive personal growth & productivity level to achieve personal & professional goals: • Making connections between the personal growth & productivity skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the personal growth & productivity skills effectively for the sustainable individual development

HAPPINESS, EMPATHY & KINDNESS (HEK)
Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Research indicates that possessing empathy is crucial for good mental health as being able to connect with others and share enough of yourself to feel connected in return adds immeasurably to relationship happiness. Scientific evidence suggests that being happy may have major benefits for your health, wellbeing and success in personal and professional life. This month all IYS members will focus on the happiness, empathy and kindness skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-image Members learn about themselves and determine their happiness, empathy and kindness characteristics: • why kindness, empathy and happiness • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive happiness, empathy and kindness skill Area 2: Knowledge of the happiness, empathy and kindness skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their happiness, empathy and kindness development path: • transitions (mindset changing) • improving happiness, empathy and kindness for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the happiness, empathy and kindness skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive mentality and contribute to the community to achieve goals: • Making connections between the happiness, empathy and kindness skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the happiness, empathy and kindness skills effectively for the sustainable mental development

CONFIDENCE & MORAL VALUES (CMV)
A confident person is someone who acknowledges their own achievements and effort. They are their own cheerleaders, without needing validation from someone else. Being confident not only helps you seek new opportunities but also trust yourself a lot more. Moral values are the key components of a person's character. They are personality traits guiding people to make decisions and judgements according to their own sense of what is right and wrong, based on collective and individual experiences. This month all IYS members will focus on the confidence & moral values skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-respect Members learn about themselves and determine their confidence & moral values characteristics: • Confidence builder, accept & trust on self, right vs. wrong • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop a positive confidence & moral values skill Area 2: Knowledge of the confidence & moral values skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their confidence & moral values development path: • transitions (overcome fears and weakness, ethical mindset) • improving confidence skills for better performance Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the confidence & moral values skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to maintain a good positive confident mindset and contribute to the community to achieve goals: • Making connections between the confidence & moral values skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the confidence & moral values skills effectively for the sustainable youth development

ENTREPRENEURSHIP & FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY (EFS)
Entrepreneur skills include various skill sets such as leadership, management, time management, creative thinking, problem-solving, decision making, concern for others, etc. You can apply these skills in many job roles and industries. Thus, entrepreneur skills are vital for everyone for promoting innovation, growth and competitiveness. Finance sustainability is a vital part of not only managing your day-to-day financial needs but also planning your financial future. The sooner you get a grip on personal finance, the better your long-term financial prospects will be for things like investing or planning for retirement. This month all IYS members will focus on the entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skills development through the proper guidance from the WSDA trainers and mentors. Following area will be covered, but not limited: Area 1: Self-regard Members learn about themselves and determine their entrepreneurship & financial sustainability characteristics: • Problem identification, idea generation, financial management, budgeting, investment planning • Attitudes, behaviors or perceptions that contribute to develop entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skill Area 2: Knowledge of the entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skill Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges that await them on their entrepreneurship & financial sustainability development path: • transitions (changing “thinking poor” mentality) • improving entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skills for better future Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skill for personal and professional development Members learn how to be better prepared for the challenges and requirements to develop entrepreneurship skills and plan financial sustainability to achieve personal goals: • Making connections between the entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skills, themselves, personal and professional development • Exploration of options to maintain the entrepreneurship & financial sustainability skills effectively for the sustainable development in career and life

April

SELF-ASSESSMENT & TEAM FORMATION
This month all IYS members will focus on what they have learned and what still need to be learned. Area 1: Self-assessment Members will update or complete their own assessment to know their strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. Based on the analysis they will start planning for their personal and professional development needs and list them in the manual. They must identify their needs, dreams, goals, etc. Area 2: Knowledge learned from the IYS sessions or what area you need to improve for your better successful life Members review their learning and development, transformation and the challenges that holding them to transform themselves Area 3: Knowledge of the application of the skills for personal and professional development Members review their learning and development, transformation and the challenges that holding them to apply their skills Member who will join this month need to complete their Personal Assessment and SWOT analysis to identify their skills shortage and improvement area. Officials should rebuild their team if their dropout of the member in their team. Officials should have all nine members in their downward team all time. Any member misses their sessions and not joining the meetings will be terminated from the team and IYS Country Chapter.

REPORT SUBMISSION, ADVANCEMENT & ORIENTATION
This month all IYS members/officials (not applicable for new members) will compile their personal and team reports for performance appraisal. Based on their reporting, they will receive awards and promotions in the country chapter. Area 1: Report Submission Members will update or complete their own and all team activity reports, including attendance, active participation in both online and offline events, impact created in the community, project taken by the teams, newsletter, photographs, competitions attendance by the members and officials, feedback by the members, team stability, etc. Area 2: Advancement Members and officials will be promoted to next level based on their submitted report. Therefore, all report must be updated on-time to receive the rewards. Area 3: Orientation All the new members, newly promoted and current officials will have orientation, so that, they can perform well and understand their roles and responsibilities. Member who will join this month need to complete their Personal Assessment and SWOT analysis to identify their skills shortage and improvement area. A format is added in this manual for the new members. Officials should rebuild their team if there any dropout of the member in their team. Officials should have all nine members in their downward team all time before expect their promotions. Any member misses their sessions and not joining the meetings will be terminated from the team and IYS Country Chapter.

REWARDS, PUBLICATION & MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
This month all IYS members/officials will receive their rewards (not applicable for new members). Based on their reporting, they will receive awards and promotions in the country chapter. Area 1: Rewards Members will be invited in the annual awards giving ceremony to receive their rewards. Awards will be given based on their personal and professional development, contribution to the IYS Chapter, membership development, contribution to the community, teams’ activity, attendance, active participation in both online and offline events, impact created in the community (newspaper or media coverage), impactful projects taken by the teams, newsletter, photographs, competitions attendance by the members and officials, feedback by the team members, team stability, etc. Area 2: Publication IYS will publish an annual publication with the activities reports done by the teams, feedback from the community, feedback from the family members, and feedback by the members and officials with photographs. Area 3: Membership Development & Orientation This month will also celebrate as membership development month. The team will raise highest members will receive special awards. All the new members, newly promoted and current officials will have orientation, so that, they can perform well and understand their roles and responsibilities. Member who will join this month need to complete their Personal Assessment and SWOT analysis to identify their skills shortage and improvement area. Officials should rebuild their team if their dropout of the member in their team.
